I would agree with you about RPing with the same muses over and over if I thought people RPed characters the same way. That’s not true, though. You can go to three different Loki blogs and I can assure you their interpretations are different.

And I wasn’t really selective, at first, on purpose. Even when my blog was small, I had a kind of discretion. When people don’t want to RP with my OC, I try not to let it get me down and go down the tags for things I know I like or types RPers I know I want to interact with and meet those people. Because there are people who like interesting and new things.

Unfortunately, there are people who kind of misuse RPing, I think, and do make it a bit of a popularity contest or never RP with anyone new or only RP smut.

But you can’t dehumanize them for that in your head, because behind every account name is a person. With feelings. And the way they choose to do things, is just the way they choose.

My advice would be to not get caught up in them, if you don’t feel they’re worth it and keep trying to find someone else. You have to find people you can depend on, because if you let the fact more people don’t RP with you stress you out, then you’re going to start really bitter or sad really fast, and I know because I’ve been in that place and that’s not what RPing should feel like.))

But I suppose I’d like to respond with my own words now.

When I ignore someone, and I am guilty of this, it is almost never because I want to. Not because I have other more popular friends to RP with it’s literally impossible for me to enjoy myself and RP with everyone that follows me.

And to have discretion on who I let RP with me is just the way I prefer to do things.

I can see what you mean, about OCs or less popular canon characters getting ignored, because I have an OC account as well, and yeah it sucks not having a sixth of the followers I have there as on this one and yeah I know it’s because this is Eleven but I’m okay with that.

Because the people RP with don’t care about the fact he’s Eleven, they care about my muse. And how do I know that? Because I weeded them out from the sea of others who came here just because it was an Eleven blog.

I’m selective for a reason, not because I’m trying to be popular.))

Yes, okay, do it. Be selective but like, it just seems stuck up to me. I try so hard to get people to rp with me on other blogs but no one cares. I know other people do it. It does in fact make people feel shitty about themselves, even if they’ve been here a while. It seems like, you have to be a certain person or rper to get people to roleplay with you now a days, which isn’t fun.

Because again, it makes it stressful when you want to escape your life through rp and people do the same thing to you here as they do in real life. I just wish people would give muses a freaking chance, so they could have a chance a character development from the people that actually like them.

I’m not saying that people have to rp with everyone, it’s just annoying when people don’t give something new and interesting a try and just rp with the same muses over and over, because it just seems like it gets old quick. ]]
